Hank's Baseball Academy

The fundamental skills of baseball are what builds a foundation of success.  Our coaching staff will cover hitting, pitching, catching, defensive play (infield & outfield) and other fundamental aspects of the game.  Each session starts at the beginning of the month and continues for four weeks (four hours) of instruction per month.

The determining factor of the success of a pitcher is the ability to throw strikes.  Throwing strikes is a byproduct of consistent pitching mechanics.  Work on correct mechanics.  Balance points, proper arm action, optimal follow through and mental approach will be the focus of this clinic.  Additionally, more advanced pitchers will work on developing a change-up, hitting locations and setting up hitters.

Proper stance, staying balanced, hand-path to the ball and eliminating extra movement will be the focus of this clinic.  Additionally, more advanced hitters will work on hitting pitches thrown on the corners and adjusting to off-speed pitches.

Proper receiving and blocking techniques, proper transfer and footwork and throwing mechanics to shut down the running game will be the focus of this clinic. 

Work on correct mechanics.  Proper throwing mechanics, footwork drills, fielding drills and specific position fundamentals will be the focus of this clinic.
